Search vector or line

Search for a vector or boundary line by its ID.

You can search for a vector or boundary line in Web Search by its ID.

From the dropdown, select Other search types:

  • Vector (by vector ID)
  • Boundary line (by Line ID)

Search for a vector

Enter the Vector ID into the search field and either:

  • press Enter on your keyboard
  • select the Search icon.

You must enter the exact vector ID as this field does not support best match.  

The vector summary page will open, and the vector will be displayed on the spatial display in orange. You can select this spatially to view the vector information panel. Note: Once selected, the vector changes to pink.

Vector summary page

Select:

  • Locate spatial item to view the vector on the map
  • Add to product list to add the vector to your product list.

You can easily add a vector’s To and From marks to a transformation from the product list.

The vector summary page shows:

  • Land district – where vector is located
  • Mark From and Mark To – select the mark to open its mark summary page.

Each coordinate system listed for the vector shows:

  • Coordinate System – the survey datum the vector is in terms of
  • Ref. date – date the vector was created/referenced
  • Survey no. – the survey that referenced the vector
  • Bearing, bearing type, and source – source shows the survey the bearing was adopted from, if applicable
  • Distance, distance type, and source – source shows the survey the distance was adopted from, if applicable.

Search for a boundary line

Enter the Line ID into the search field and either:

  • press Enter on your keyboard
  • select the Search icon.

The boundary line summary page will open, and the boundary line will be displayed on the spatial display in orange.

Boundary lines have no layer in Web Search, so you cannot select the line spatially. To turn the selected boundary line on or off, in Layers, select Current, then Located.

The Boundary line summary page shows the From and To Node IDs for the line.

Select a node ID to view its mark summary page.
