Search instrument

To search for an instrument, select Instrument by: Instrument number from the drop-down.
 

Once you have searched for an instrument, you can

• view its summary page, with information such as date lodged etc.
• add it to your product list
• order a copy of the instrument
• view affected records. 

Search for an instrument

1. Enter the instrument number into the search field

You must enter the exact instrument number as this field does not support best match. Any instruments with the same number will appear in the list.
 

2. Select the required instrument from the drop-down list to view the instrument summary page
 

Instrument summary page

Select the Add to product list icon at the top right of the summary page to add the instrument to your product list.
 

Order a copy of the instrument

You can order a copy of the instrument if it is available, without adding it to your product list.  

Select an icon to order the instrument:

• emailed to you
• to view on screen
• downloaded as PDF. 
   

Instrument information

The instrument information panel may show:

• Instrument Number – number of the instrument
• Instrument Type – type of instrument
• Instrument Status – current status of the instrument
• Completion Date – date the instrument was registered. For pending instruments, this will be an Estimated completion date.
• Date & Time Lodged – date and time the instrument was lodged  
• Lodged By – name of the solicitor for the lodging firm
• Lodged For – name of the lodging firm
• New Owners – name of the new owners, if applicable

View affected records

You can view affected titles from the instrument summary page:

• Records originally affected at Registration
• Currently affected Records

Select the drop-down arrow next to the heading to view the list of titles affected by the instrument.
 

From these lists, you can:

• select the title reference to open the title summary page
• view the registered owners and legal descriptions of the affected titles  
• add a title to the product list.
