In Web Search you can prepare and run a transformation to convert coordinates for Landonline marks from NZGD 2000 into another coordinate system. The transformation is downloaded to your computer as a CSV file.
Transformations between NZGD 2000 and Old Cadastral Datum are not available.
You can access coordinate transformation from the Survey data extraction tool in the Map control toolbar.

This icon is also used to extract survey data into an XML file.
Open the coordinate transformation panel
Select the Survey data extraction tool from the tool bar
- The Survey data extraction panel opens. The Selection mode is set to Survey data extraction - Add specific survey plans by default.
Left-click in the Selection mode field and select Coordinate transformation – Add specific marks.
Add marks to transformation
You can add marks to the transformation by selecting the Add to transformation icon from:
- the mark summary panel
- the product list
- the multi-selection bucket
- the mark info panel in the spatial map.

You can add marks to the coordinate transformation panel without having the panel open first. Select the Add to transformation icon from any of the above locations to begin a new transformation. The coordinate transformation panel will open as the mark is added.
Add marks to transformation from the spatial map
- Turn on the Marks – NZGD2000 layers.
- Select a mark on the spatial map. A pop-up information panel opens.
Select Add to transformation in the pop-up information panel.
The mark is added to the coordinate transformation panel.
You can also use the Multi-Select tools to select more than one mark at a time.
See: Multi-select tools
- When you multi-select marks they are added to the selection bucket at the bottom left of the spatial screen.
Select Add to transformation to add these to the coordinate transformation panel.
Although you can multi-select up to 1000 spatial items, you can only add a maximum of 500 marks to a coordinate transformation.
Remove marks from transformation panel
To remove marks from the coordinate transformation panel:
- select the grey X icon to the right of the mark name, or
- select the red Clear selection icon (rubbish bin) to the right of the total marks to clear the whole list.

Run transformation
When you have added all the required marks to the transformation:
Choose your Output coordinate system. You can choose from any of the current NZGD 1949, NZGD 2000, and other available survey datums by clicking into this field. Either scroll to the required coordinate system, or start typing in the field to search it.
OCD datums are not available.
Select Run transformation to begin the coordinate transformation.
Once the transformation is complete, the data will be available as a CSV file in the downloads folder of your computer.
