When you have completed and saved the layout pages you can generate your plans by selecting Compile plan(s).
When you generate plans, Landonline automatically generates the Title Plan, with reduced information and symbology, from the Record of Survey.
Primary and Non Primary parcel pages only display if parcels of these types are included in your survey.
Survey pages will not display when your survey only has boundary information, and you have not captured vectors.
The layout of all plans are identical.
For details, see Generated plan components.
Each time you click Compile plan(s), a new set of images are created and sent to the surveyor and primary contact via My messages. You can build up a history of the plan images created. Until the survey is submitted, these images have Draft displayed in the corner.

Generate plans
The Compile plan(s) button will be greyed out if you have unsaved changes in Layout Plan Sheets.
Save your layout and select Compile plan(s).
The Compile plan(s) button changes to a processing icon.
Once processed, a message appears at the top right of the screen: “Plan generation has been initiated successfully”.
- The compilation batch request is sent to the server, and once the batch is completed a copy of the compiled Record of Survey and Title Plan are sent to the signing surveyor and primary contact via My messages. You can then view and download the attachments as needed.

Regenerate plans
At any time prior to submission and after selecting Compile plan(s) in Layout Plan Sheets, you can regenerate your plans. You may wish to do this because you:
- have made changes in Survey Capture
- added or amended Supporting documents
- want to amend the existing pages of the layout sheets.
Changes made to your capture may require you to define new diagrams or re-define existing diagrams.
You may need to update layout sheets with these changes before regenerating the plans.
To regenerate plans:
- Complete any required edits to the layout sheets and select Save layout.
Select Compile plan(s).
A warning pop-up appears.
It advises: “A full set of digital plans have already been generated for this survey. The existing digital plans will now be replaced based on your current diagram layout, attached supporting documents and survey header information. This may take some time. Do you wish to continue?”- Select Yes to continue, or No to close the pop-up and continue working.
If you select Yes, once processed, a message appears at the top right of the screen “Plan generation has been initiated successfully”.
- The compilation batch request is sent to the server, and once the batch is completed a copy of the compiled Record of Survey and Title Plan are sent to the signing surveyor and primary contact via My messages. You can then view and download the attachments as needed.

Details of generated plans
Landonline generates plans for the survey from the layout sheets. The generated plans include Record of Survey pages and Title Plan pages.
Once the survey has been registered, you can view these products in Web Search.

Structured text information for plans
When you generate plans, Landonline creates the following structured text information for your survey dataset:
These details form part of the Record of Survey and Title Plan files attached to the Plan Compilation notification you receive in your My Messages folder.
Record of Survey header
Landonline creates Record of Survey header details for your survey dataset when you generate plans. This forms part of the Record of Survey file attached to the Plan Compilation notification you receive in your My Messages folder.
This header contains constant data for the survey dataset as well as data that Landonline updates automatically at submission, approval and registration stages.
Summary of the Record of Survey header
Section | Description |
---|---|
Survey Number | Number of the survey. |
Survey Reference | File number or client reference. |
Surveyor | Name of the certifying Surveyor for the survey dataset. |
Survey Firm | Name of the Survey firm associated with the survey dataset. |
Surveyor Declaration | Surveyor's declaration for the survey dataset. |
Survey Details | Description of the survey dataset (for example dataset description, purpose, status, type, land district, survey class and meridional circuit). |
Survey Dates | Survey date, certified date, survey approval date, submit date and deposit date. |
Referenced Surveys | List of surveys referenced in the survey dataset (including survey number, land district and (if applicable) bearing correction applied). |
Territorial Authorities | Name of the territorial authorities recorded against the survey dataset. |
Comprised In | Reference for the Record of Title (RT) or gazette/document being surveyed. |
Created Parcels | Parcel appellation, parcel intent, area, and pre-allocated RT reference of parcels created in the survey, and total area. |
Mark and Vector list
Landonline creates the Mark and Vector list when generating your survey dataset plans. This forms part of the Record of Survey file attached to the Plan Compilation notification you receive in your My Messages folder.
The Mark and Vector list contains all marks and vectors recorded in the survey dataset and has three parts:
- Right Line vectors and marks.
- Arcs and marks.
- Mark Name and description.
The order of right line and arcs displayed in the list is based on the order in which they were captured in the Vectors panel. The mark description is the description added in the Mark information area of the Vectors panel or in the Marks panel during capture.
Summary of the Mark and Vector list
Section | Description |
---|---|
Survey Number | Survey number of the survey dataset. |
Meridional circuit | Coordinate System of the survey dataset. |
From | From mark name for the vector. |
To | To mark name for the vector. |
Code | Sequential code for the vector. The format is obx where x represents a unique number for the survey. |
Bearing | Value of the bearing for the vector in degrees, minutes and seconds and indicates whether the bearing is measured (M), calculated (C), or adopted (A). |
Bearing Adopted Survey | Number of the survey from which the bearing was adopted. |
Bearing Correction | Value of the bearing correction, in degrees, minutes and seconds, applied to the vector. |
Distance | Value of the distance for the vector in metres. Landonline displays this distance to an accuracy of 0.01m and indicates whether the distance is measured (M), calculated (C), or adopted (A). |
Distance Adopted Survey | Number of the survey from which the distance was adopted. |
Chord Bearing | Value of the chord bearing for the vector in degrees, minutes and seconds and indicates whether the chord is measured (M), calculated (C), or adopted (A). |
