How to sign up to Landonline.

Add a new user to your firm's Landonline account

To add a new user or a new licence to your firm's Landonline account, go to:

2: Check your systems.

You will need:

  • a reliable internet connection
  • a supported browser, either Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari.

Users with dealings certify and sign rights, survey sign and submit rights, and territorial authority (TA) certification signing rights will need to be able to download and install a Digital Certificate.

3: Decide roles and Landonline access types.

First decide your:

All users will need to provide proof of identity to get an account.

4: Complete the New account sign-up form.

Go to the New account sign-up form and complete all fields to start the account process:

Once the form is complete, you'll receive an email within 5 days with PDF forms attached that you need to complete.

5: Complete forms and email documentation.

Complete the forms emailed to you and provide full colour, clear and readable scans of:

  • proof of identity for each user, such as a driver's licence, passport or firearm licence. Proof must be certified for users with signing rights and Landonline – Dealings users
  • signed Contract form
  • Practising Certificate or Cadastral Surveyors Licences for a certifying and signing user
  • Māori Land Court signing delegation, if applicable.

LINZ will respond to your email within 5 working days.

6: Download Landonline software and Digital Certificates.

You will need to download and install Landonline software that will run on your desk computer or laptop.

Software downloads

Digital Certificate codes are issued for users who need to certify and sign transactions. Once a user has received an email with codes, they can download a Digital Certificate to their computer.
