1. Enter the instalment number and rating year.
Enter the instalment number and rating year that the new owner will be responsible for in the New owners first instalment number field.
Enter this in the format:
Instalment number, date.
For example:
Instalment 3, 01012025
Entering the instalment number is not mandatory, but it helps the Territorial Authority (TA) identify who to follow up with for any unpaid rates.
2. Select privacy for owners, if needed.
Keeping the new owners' name private is set to No by default. Select Yes to keep owners' details private.
3. Select whether the property is subject to a registered lease.
The question whether or not the property is subject to a registered lease under s11 of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002) and the lessee is recorded as the ratepayer, is set to No by default. Select Yes if it is subject to a registered lease.
