Step 3: Select the Change of Name or Correction of Name toggle.

By default Change of Name is selected. Use this to change the name of a registered owner because of a marriage, reversion to maiden names or change by deed poll.

Or select Correction of Name. Use this to correct the name of a registered owner to:

  • correct a spelling error caused by a lodging party or LINZ staff, or
  • include an additional middle name which forms part of the registered owner's official name but it was omitted on the register.

Step 4: Select which owner or owners you want to change or correct their name.

Select the checkbox for each registered owner affected by the change or correction of name.

This will open additional fields for editing.

Once you've made the changes you can select the person icon again to collapse the information.
