Response to a request to the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa for information that led to the Minister for Land Information’s decision to maintain the status quo of Franz Josef/Waiau and Franz Josef Glacier/Kā Roimata o Hine Hukatere as official place names.
The Board provided:
- the submission report that the Board considered at its 30 April 2024 hui,
- the relevant excerpt from the minutes of 30 April 2024 with the Board’s discussion and consideration of the submissions, and
- the Board’s report to the Minister recording the Minister’s decision on 27 June 2024.
