Crown land data

Toitū Te Whenua manages over 2 million hectares of land on behalf of the Crown. We also manage land and property for other Crown agencies.

A wide range of Crown land and property data is available through the LINZ Data Service. This is sourced from the National Property and Land Information System (NaPALIS), and identifies:

• state coal and railway reserves
• pastoral leases
• Crown-owned Canterbury red zone properties
• other land managed by Toitū Te Whenua.

The LINZ Data Service provides access to:
