• Development of the prototype begins.

2024 (early)

• Testing of prototype with surveyor and solicitor customer groups.
• Significant refinements made. 

2024 (late)

• Feedback sought from survey plan users (August – October).
• Prototype development paused.

2025 (early)

• Summary of proposal feedback published

2025 (if proposal proceeds)

• Consultation on the changes to the Cadastral Survey Rules 2021 to enable digitally visualised survey plans.
• Prototype development resumes.

2026 (if proposal proceeds)

• Transition period begins - some surveys done as static plans, others done as digitally visualised survey plans.
