When setting up a dealing at least 1 instrument and 1 primary contact role must be entered before a dealing number can be issued. The dealing can be saved and a dealing number issued.
Instruments should be organised in the order that they are to be registered on the affected title.
Preparing an instrument in a dealing includes identifying the instrument type and the affected titles.
Limits for instruments
You can add more than 1 of the same instrument types to a dealing.
You can have up to:
- 50 instruments per dealing
- 300 titles per instrument
- 350 titles per dealing.
For dealings that contain more than the limits for instruments or titles per instrument, contact Customer Support on 0800 665 463.
1: Select the instrument type.
When you create a dealing you'll be taken to the Instrument & Roles page. On the page will be an Instrument box.
Click into the Add Instrument field. A list of the most commonly used instruments will appear.
Select the instrument type you need, or start typing the instrument description or code, such as DM, T or M to filter the list of instruments and find the correct one.
You must complete the other instrument details to prepare the instrument.
2: Add additional instruments, if needed.
To add additional instruments to a dealing select Add Instrument.
An Instrument box will appear below any existing instruments.
Edit, delete or move instruments and more
To quickly reorder your instruments select the 6-dot icon to the left of an instrument and drag and drop it into the new order.
Remember to select Save.
Use the 3-dot menu at the end of the row to find more options, for example, reorder the instrument list, prepare an instrument or delete an instrument.
You can't change the instrument type once you've selected it. You must delete the one you don't want and use the Add instrument button to add the one you do want.
