This guideline has been issued by the Registrar-General of Land to ensure that instruments and applications received by Toitū Te Whenua under Te Ture mō Ō-Rākau, Te Pae o Maumahara 2025/Ō-Rākau Remembrance Act 2025 are dealt with correctly.
This guideline covers creation of a record of title for the Ō-Rākau site vested in ngā tūpuna of Maniapoto, Raukawa, and Waikato, coming together as Ngā Ahi e Toru, and how representatives of Ngā Ahi e Toru can deal with the land.
This guideline is primarily for the use of staff of Toitū Te Whenua with delegated authority to exercise registration functions under the Land Transfer Act 2017.
