Regulations 17(1)(a) and (3) of the Land Transfer Regulations 2018 enable applications to change or correct names to be made, and Regulation 17(4) empowers the Registrar-General of Land to change or correct names in the Register if satisfied the name has changed.
This guideline:
- assists individuals and practitioners to understand the requirements and process for applying to correct or change a name in the Register; and
- includes guidance on electronic and paper form applications, and the additional documents needed to support applications.

The forms referred to in schedules 1 and 2 of this guideline are superceded by Forms 1 and 2 of the Approved Paper Forms for Land Transfer Act 2017.
