This OIA response provides correspondence between Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke Rāpaki (“Ngāti Wheke”) and LINZ regarding seabed reclamation at Lyttelton Port.
LINZ is currently assessing an application from Lyttelton Port Company for an interest in reclaimed land under the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Act 2011. This correspondence discusses Ngāti Wheke’s interest in the land and their proposal for joint title.
