Ampol Limited is a petroleum refiner, importer, marketer, and distributor operating in Australia under its own brand and New Zealand through the Gull brand.
This assessment report summarises Ampol Limited’s claimed benefits resulting from the acquisition of Z Energy and the OIO’s assessment of the application.
As a result of the OIO’s assessment, the OIO recommended that the Associate Minister of Finance and the Minister for Land Information (together, the Ministers) grant consent for Ampol Limited to acquire Z Energy. The Ministers granted consent on 11 April 2022.
