This document has been prepared to help surveyors and LandXML developers understand the interaction between the LandXML elements and attributes and how Landonline interprets them when an XML file is imported into an e-survey.
Landonline has the ability for surveyors to import their surveys directly into Landonline.
To ensure that minimal work is required by the surveyor after dataset upload, the structure chosen for the dataset format needed to represent the majority of the survey information required by Land Information New Zealand (LINZ). The elements and structures of LandXML fulfill this requirement; hence the Landonline application uses LandXML as its transfer format.
