Reasons for decision
A stock water supply will benefit the property and make it easier to farm without adversely affecting inherent values.
Conditions of decision
Consent is granted for soil disturbance to install a stock water scheme subject to the following conditions:
- Consent is to disturb the soil to install the pipelines, pump shed, and water tank as shown on the attached plan and may include minimal disturbance to level sites for water troughs.
- All machinery brought on site to be thoroughly cleaned and weed free.
- Soil disturbance is to be kept to the minimum required for the installation of a water tank, pump shed and water troughs. Pipelines are to be installed by use of a mole-plough or similar.
- Disturbed areas to be properly consolidated and exposed soil to be re-vegetated as soon as practicable with weed free pasture mix.
- The water tank and pump shed are to be of a colour that blends into the landscape.
The Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998 provides that permission to undertake the activity may still be needed under other enactments.
