Reasons for decision

Granting consent to construct and maintain sheepyards as requested will make it easier to use the land for farming purposes, by enabling more efficient stock management. Any adverse effects on inherent values can be avoided or minimised through compliance with the conditions specified.

Conditions of decision

Consent is granted for soil disturbance to construct sheepyards subject to the following conditions:

  1. Soil disturbance is limited to the minimum amount required to prepare the ground for the yards within the boundary of the area shown in red on the map applicable to this notice.
  2. All machinery used is to be thoroughly cleaned and free of weed seeds before entering the property.
  3. All contractors and employees of Glenaray Station are informed of the conditions of this consent prior to the works starting.

The Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998 provides that permission to undertake the activity may still be needed under other enactments.
