Workspace

Workspace is the first screen you will see as a surveyor when you login to Landonline.

Workspace navigation has three parts, which are outlined on this page:

  • The Workspace Toolbar – where you double click on an icon to open another part of the Landonline application.
  • The Workspace Tree – where work is stored when you have created an e-survey and saved it. This is also where you view and receive system-generated messages. This includes e-survey status.
  • The Workspace Detail panel – shows summary information about work in the Tree, depending on what is highlighted.

Workspace Toolbar icons

The Workspace Toolbar has icons that open different parts of Landonline. Your privileges determine which icons display in your Workspace.

The following table lists these icons and describes when you would use them:

Create Survey
Use this icon to create a new e-survey. Click to display the Manage Survey Transaction screen.
Searches icon
Searches
Use this icon to search for information in Landonline, (eg titles and survey plans). Click to display Searches.
Find Work icon
Find Work / Request
Use this icon to find an e-survey or request in your Workspace. Click to display the Find Work / Request screen.
 Create request
Create Request
Use this icon to prepare a request. Click to display the Create Request screen.
Notices icon
Notices

Use this icon to access the Notices screen to search for notices sent to your Landonline account or view or update any notice delivery method details for you or your account. For more information, refer to:

My Details icon
My Details
This is where you update your contact details and preferences. Click to display the Maintain User screen.
System Maintenance icon
System Maintenance

If you are a System Manager this is where you:

  • maintain account and user information contact details
  • allocate and delete user privileges.

Click to display External System Administration screen.

Note: This icon only displays in the Workspace Toolbar if you are a System Manager.

Change Password icon
Change Password
This is where you change your password. Click to display the Change Password screen.
Help icon
Help
This is where you can find out more information about using Landonline. Click to display Landonline Help.

Workspace Tree folders

The Workspace Tree lists all work available in your firm. Work displays in 5 folders. These are explained in the table below:

My Work
Displays all work for which you are an enabled user.
To see the e-surveys you are enabled to work on, expand the tree.
Supervised Work icon
Supervised Work
Displays the names of all enabled users who are working on e-surveys you are responsible for.
To see an e-survey expand the tree for an enabled user.
All Work icon
All Work

Displays the names of all people associated with your Landonline account.
To see the work a person is involved with, expand the tree.

 All Requests
All Requests

Displays the names of all people associated with your Landonline account and their requests.

My Messages
When

displays, new messages have been added to your My Messages folder.
Note: This folder cannot be expanded further.

e-survey status

e-surveys change status as they progress through the Survey Process. You can easily tell the status of an e-survey by the icon that displays next to it. The table below explains the status icons.

Icon Description
Status - Flag icon

This icon displays when an e-survey is:

  • initiated, ie. a plan number has been generated for the e-survey
  • on requisition.
Status - Pending icon

This icon displays when an e-survey:

  • has been submitted
  • is pending submission as part of a batch
  • is subject to the exception process
  • is pending withdrawal.
Status - Failed icon

This icon displays when:

  • an e-survey has failed submission
  • LINZ has responded to an e-survey where the exception process has been involved.

Workspace Detail panel

The Workspace Detail panel changes display depending on what is selected in the Workspace Tree. It displays tabs. You can select between the tabs to view different types of information. The following table describes these tabs and explains when they display:

Summary Information tab

Displays when any of the following folders are selected in the Workspace Tree:

  • My Work
  • Supervised Work
  • All Work
  • Requests
  • All Requests
  • My Messages

Use this tab to display a summary of all e-surveys listed in the My Work, Supervised Work or All Work folders, or use this tab to see requests that have been submitted.

Detail Information tab

Displays when an e-survey is selected from the My Work, Supervised Work or All Work folders.

Displays when requests are selected from the Requests or All Requests folders.

Use this tab to view details of the selected e-survey or to see details of selected requests that have been saved.

Messages tab

Displays when an e-survey is selected from the My Work, Supervised Work or All Work folders.

Use this tab to view a list of all messages sent to you regarding a particular e-survey. You can also read the content of messages in this tab and view and save message attachments (eg. a lodgement notice).

Messages Received tab

Displays when the My Messages folder is selected in the Workspace Tree.

Use this tab to view a list of all messages sent to you. You can also read the content of messages in this tab and view and save message attachments (eg a lodgement notice).
