To keep New Zealand’s world-leading property system at the forefront of digital innovation and maximise productivity in the sector Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) is seeking feedback on a proposal to modernise the way people use survey plans.

Feedback from users shows that static survey plans are time-consuming to prepare and can be difficult to use. A prototype has been developed to test digitally visualised survey plans with the aim of creating products that are more user friendly.  The goal is to reduce the effort and rework involved in the preparation of manually drafted (static) plans and better meet users’ needs.

We are now seeking feedback to better understand the benefits, costs and challenges associated with using digitally visualised survey plans.

Feedback can be provided until 31 October 2024 by emailing engagement@linz.govt.nz.
