Land Information Minister Damien O’Connor has appointed new and returning members to the Cadastral Surveyors Licensing Board of New Zealand.

The Cadastral Surveyors Licensing Board (the Board) governs licensing and professional standards of the surveying profession.

This includes licensing cadastral surveyors to conduct cadastral (land title) surveys under the Cadastral Survey Act 2002.

The Board is also tasked with setting the standards of education and practical experience required for the licensing of surveyors. In addition, the Board exercises certain disciplinary powers.

In making these appointments, Minister O’Connor thanked the previous Board and wished the new and returning members well.

“The reappointment of existing members will ensure valuable continuity and experience remains whilst our new members bring a fresh perspective to the Board’s work.”

“I want to acknowledge the high standard of service that the Board continues to provide in governing the licensing and professional standards of the surveying profession,” he said.

New and returning members to the Board:

  • Neale Charles Thomas Faulkner of Waipu (reappointed)
  • Craig Kenneth McInnes of Christchurch (reappointed)
  • Laura Becker Coll McLaughlin of Westport
  • Clare Elizabeth Tolan of Richmond
  • Pengbo Jiang of Auckland

Substitute members to the Board:
