We are seeking feedback on the proposed topic for our Long-term Insights Briefing: ‘Pathways to resilience: Future-proofing Crown land stewardship’.
This briefing aims to investigate ways that we can better conduct our role as stewards of 1.7 million hectares of Crown land in an increasingly complex and uncertain environment.
This land makes up 8 percent of New Zealand and supports a range of public and private uses, including farming, forestry, tourism and housing.
We want to hear from anyone interested in the future of how Crown land is managed.
This is a great opportunity to share your thoughts on how we can respond to future challenges and opportunities facing Crown land, such as climate change, increasing competition between alternative land uses and technological innovation.
Your feedback will help shape the 2025 long-term insights briefing.
