This Cabinet paper provides an update on progress of the Survey and Title Enhancement Programme since Cabinet approval of a Programme Business Case in October 2018.
On Monday 25 November 2019 Cabinet noted progress LINZ has made on the modernisation of Landonline, the system used to manage survey and title transactions in New Zealand. The programme is called the Survey and Title Enhancement Programme (STEP).
Cabinet approved a Programme Business Case (PBC) in October 2018 for the progressive rebuild of Landonline in four tranches over five years. A business case for the first tranche of STEP was approved by the Ministers of Finance, Government Digital Services and Land Information in April 2019.
