This standard defines the national vertical reference system: New Zealand Vertical Datum 2016 (NZVD2016)
NZVD2016 normal-orthometric heights are measured above the New Zealand Quasigeoid 2016 (NZGeoid2016) surface. The standard defines the use of relationship grids to 13 existing local vertical datums so that heights can be consistently converted between them, NZVD2016 and the NZGD2000 ellipsoidal height system.
