The KML file format allows geodetic marks to be viewed with contextual information such as satellite imagery and digital terrain models. Each mark is linked to the LINZ Geodetic Database, which means that coordinate details and other relevant information can be viewed. The KML data is updated daily to reflect changes to the Geodetic Database.
When you open a KML file in your visualisation software (such as Google Earth) you will see the geodetic marks. Note that marks may only be shown at certain zoom levels. If a particular order of geodetic mark is not displayed, zoom in.
