What to do
- Enter the instalment number and rating year that the new owner will be responsible for. This is not mandatory, but confirming the first instalment that the new owners are responsible for, helps the TA identify who to follow up with for any unpaid rates.
- Keeping the new owners' name private is set to No by default. Select Yes to keep owners' details private.
- The question whether or not the property is subject to a registered lease (refer s. 11 of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002) and the lessee is recorded as the ratepayer, is set to No by default. Select Yes if it is subject to a registered lease.
