This consultation has now closed

Submissions are being considered, and the final Crown Pastoral Land Strategic Intentions Document and Performance Monitoring Framework will be released in May 2024.

Have your say

The Strategic Intentions Document outlines Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand’s (LINZ) vision and strategy for managing New Zealand’s Crown pastoral land for 2024-2029, and the Performance Monitoring Framework sets out performance measures on our progress towards achieving key outcomes.

Feedback on the draft documents is welcome by 5pm, 21 March 2024.

Overview

LINZ is committed to ensuring the Crown Estate we are responsible for is well-managed, understood, cared for and enhanced for existing and future generations, including the Crown pastoral estate.

The new Crown Pastoral Land Strategic Intentions Document 2024-2029 and Performance Monitoring Framework 2024-2029 set out proposed initiatives and performance measures for how we manage Crown Pastoral Land, for the 2024-2029 period. They will support LINZ to be good, active managers of Crown pastoral land by prioritising transparent and accountable stewardship, strong and enduring partnerships, and informed decision making.

Right now, we’re asking people for their feedback on the draft documents. This is an opportunity for people to have their say on the strategic priorities underpinning the work we do.

The documents will be finalised after public consultation, and published in May 2024.
