It is proposed to increase the vertical accuracy requirements to support as-builts.

The Utility Location Standard provides a specification for recording the position of utility assets, including the accuracy requirements. 

Since the Standard was published in 2022, feedback has indicated that further enhancements are required for it to better support as-builts. The proposal is to increase the vertical accuracy requirements relating to invert levels.

The intention is to enable territorial authorities to adopt the Standard for the surveying of as-builts.

We are now seeking feedback on these amendments. See the proposal document below.
