This proposal is to amend the Cadastral Survey Rules so that the New Zealand Vertical Datum 2016 will be the only official vertical datum available for use.
What is proposed?
The Surveyor-General is seeking feedback on a proposal to remove 13 local vertical datums from Schedule 5 of the rules, leaving the New Zealand Vertical Datum 2016 (NZVD2016) as the only official vertical datum available for use.
