This document contains guidelines for compliance with the Port Nicholson Block (Taranaki Whanui ki Te Upoko o Te Ika) Claims Settlement Act 2009.

This document covers:

  1. the requirements for certificates, applications, and other transactions to be lodged with the RGL for registration, and
  2. registration requirements and memorial formats.

The primary focus of the guideline is on the provisions of the Act that impact on the registration process.

This guideline has been issued by the RGL for employees of Toitū Te Whenua with delegated authority to exercise registration functions under the Land Transfer Act 1952.
