The Toitū Te Whenua LINZ Operational Asbestos Management Plan has been prepared to assist LINZ with our role and general duties for ‘Persons Conducting a Business or Undertaking’ (PCBU) under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (the Act).
This plan is designed to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that the workplace is without risks to the health and safety of any person.
This is a multipurpose document, as it documents the policy and procedures for the safe management of asbestos at any residential or non-residential Crown-owned property managed by LINZ. And it is the Operational Asbestos Management Plan for the residential portfolio. It is important to note, that management of asbestos at non-residential property managed by LINZ is managed under individual Site-Specific Asbestos Management Plans, as this is a legislative requirement.
