The Registrar-General of Land has issued this guideline to ensure that all necessary approvals, certifications and consents are obtained before survey plans for the subdivision of land are deposited under the Land Transfer Act 2017.
The legislative requirements governing the subdivision of land are set out in section 11 and Part 10 of the Resource Management Act 1991. This guideline will help subdividers and their advisors understand and comply with these requirements, and submit the required documentation to Toitū Te Whenua.
