Funding is confirmed for new wastewater pipes to carry wastewater from homes on The Crescent to the Te Awamutu Wastewater Treatment Plant. Homes on The Crescent were former hospital staff homes and used the old hospital wastewater system which was no longer up to scratch.

Government agrees to fund the demolition. Toitū Te Whenua works with Te Arawhiti to agree the terms of the Tokanui Hospital Deferred Selection Process and begins designing project investigations and consultant procurement approach.

Deed of Settlement signed by Ngāti Maniapoto and the Minister of Waitangi Negotiations. Te Nehenehenui represents Ngāti Maniapoto as the Post Settlement Governance Entity.
