The Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) 2023/24 Annual Report is now published, with this year’s report delving into the wide range of work we do across New Zealand and further afield.
Major projects are picking up pace, highlighted by the construction of the new SouthPAN satellite uplink facility in Awarua, Southland. SouthPAN will help improve the accuracy of positioning services like GPS and is being delivered in collaboration with Geoscience Australia.
The modernisation of our world-class Landonline platform for land registration is on schedule, with new functionality released in 2023/24 resulting in great uptake by users. Feedback has been excellent and we are proud of our work to deliver this crucial service for New Zealanders.
Our people have responded to emerging government policy and the evolving needs of our customers, implementing changes to overseas investment processes, reviewing New Zealand’s Rating Valuation Rules, and continuing our programme of marine and coastal mapping.
The report illustrates the value we add across the country and how our focus on customer-centric outcomes makes a difference to our partners and stakeholders including government agencies, businesses and individuals.
