The Commissioner of Crown Lands has determined that the desirability of making it easier to use the land concerned for farming purposes can be balanced by appropriate conditions to protect inherent values associated with old growth matagouri, waterways, wetlands and seeps, and the wider landscape.

Consent is granted for clearing of scrub, subject to the following conditions:

1. Clearing scrub by mechanical mulching may be undertaken in the area shown outlined in red on the plans attached. 
2. Mulching scrub may not be undertaken within the area shown outlined in pink on the plans attached. 
3. Mulching scrub is not permitted within 10m of waterways, wetlands and seeps. This includes permanent and intermittent waterways; and ephemeral waterways (water runs periodically, for example from snow melt or rain).
