Reasons for decision

The Commissioner’s delegate has determined that granting consent to maintain topdressing is appropriate. The DGC has advised there will be no impact on any inherent values present.

Conditions of decision

Consent is granted for topdressing, subject to the following conditions:

  1. Topdressing is limited to the areas as shown on the attached plan to the Notice of Decision.
  2. Topdressing is to be cautiously applied when close to cabbage trees.
  3. Topdressing is to be applied in accordance with current best practise guidelines to avoid damage to native vegetation and waterways.
  4. No topdressing is to occur within 20m of any permanent waterway or wetland.
  5. That all contractors and employees working on Mt Albert Station under this consent notice are informed of the conditions prior to the works commencing.

The Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998 provides that permission to undertake the activity may still be needed under other enactments.
