Our offices and services will have reduced availability over the holiday period. Read more about our holiday hours and services availability.

You can use, remix, distribute, and build on Toitū Te Whenua data, even commercially, as much as you like via our open Creative Commons license – as long as you credit us as the original source.

There are some exceptions to this open licence for the following:

Aerial imagery – Toitū Te Whenua does not own the copyright of this data and requires a variation to the standard LINZ data attribution statement.
Property and ownership layers that contain personal information – these require you to accept an additional licence before access it granted to view the data. You can then use our standard data attribution statement.
